It “takes a village to raise a child”. Kinderland embraces this concept by staying actively involved in many Shasta County opportunities for children.

Our Community

As an involved child care provider, Kinderland stays connected both with family members who have children in day care and with the surrounding Redding community. We participate in or take classes to the following community events:

  • PreKindergarten class attends the annual Redding Children’s Concert
  • St. Jude’s Trike-a-Thon (raised approx. $10,000 to date)
  • Remi Vista PPP program (Power of Positive Parenting)
  • Week of the Young Child – paper doll project
  • Gardening
  • Scholastic Books
  • Parent Appreciation Days
  • Back to School Night and Open House annually
  • GEMS (Great Expectations in Math and Science) through Turtle Bay

  • Fall and Spring professional photographs for day care students

Professional Affiliations

As a responsible child care provider, we maintain current certifications with many well-known day care certification providers. Our educational day care center is connected with the following day care and child care certification programs:

  • CCAEYC – California Cascade Association for the Education of Young Children
  • PACE – Professional Association for Childhood Education
